"Horrible place for a child!!!! I would give negative stars if Yelp would let me !!I have been trying to find someone who can cut my five year old hair since we moved to Illinois from California and no luck! All the kids salons are great for kids but the haircuts not so great. But I rather have my kid with a bad haircut than a so called hair professional rolling her eyes and making sounds making it very apparent she hated cutting my kid's hair! Even her co-worker came over and tried to help! My son gets haircuts all the time and does not like them but he lets the hair stylists do their job but not here!!! My son could tell how annoyed this woman was it only made him even more upset! Geez rolling her eyes and the sounds she made I didn't know who I should have comfort her or my son! Obviously she didn't want to help us from the beginning she had a nasty look when she saw it was a kid! I did called and asked if they cut Childrens hair she could have said they didn't and not put us through this ordeal! Awful awful but awful place!!! By the way the haircut was hideous!!! Way too expensive including tip even though she did not deserve it!"

"My 1st and last time here!! Extremely. overpriced $20 to have back and sides ONLY tapered and I could not complete my payment transaction until I selected a tip amount. I did not want to leave a tip, I asked for tapered and was shaved near bald and she cut a plug near the front. Take the drive to Great Clips!!"

"Usually when I've came here the women do a great job. At this point from going there the last year or so I've seen who is reliable or not. Most of them are...except today when I went in to get a haircut. Every time I go in they have a sheet of paper for my name that reads what I get: sides and back of a 0.5 clipper all the way to a 2 to my hair line. The woman who cut my hair today was an unfamiliar face. As soon as I sat down I could feel that she was going to mess up my hair because already she was confused why it said on the sheet that I had gotten a 0.5 to a 2 for my sides and back. I explained to her that it meant a fade and showed her what all the other woman there usually do. Regardless she still seemed confused and just buzzed my head all the way up with a 2 guard and didn't even fade it, only using the 0.5 and 1 guard to fix the sides. The woman was not gentle at all, very pushy. While I was sitting there she seemed to be doing my hair very lazily and fast without checking for any missed details. My top length of hair is completely perfect, but when it was done I was disappointed because she didn't bother to take off the back with my pointy hair from it being grown out previous to coming in. I'm very disappointed in this place. I can now agree that every haircut gets worse here. I'm never coming back."

"Long wait times"

"Consistently good haircuts! My son has outgrown the little kids barber shop with the slide in the waiting room and the salon chairs shaped like cars. He needed a more grown-up salon and we are happy to say that after trying a few other competitors that we have ended up here. He has come in for the past 6 months to this location and has found that most of the cuts he receives are pretty good. There was only one of probably 5-6 stylists that didn't do a good job. Otherwise the "notes" on how to cut his hair are in the system and so when he walks in they just take his name and can see right away what the instructions are. The theme of SportClips is just as it sounds---big tvs everywhere like at a sports bar and seating area giving the feel of a men's locker room. Is that enough testosterone for ya??? Pros are that they also do neck massages & hot towel treatments (for a fee) and take coupons giving $3 or $4 off a service. These can be obtained across the street at Jewel on the cash register receipt or in the mail with the value-pak coupon mailers. Cons are that it's the luck of the draw who you will get as your stylist that day, I don't think that they take appts, it's first come first serve. They also get very busy esp during Saturdays, lots of customers and not enough seats with many people peering into the window and just leaving. This is a good economical place to get a haircut with easy parking as long as you avoid the rush during the weekend."

"First time visit, since the other places late Sunday afternoon ~ 3:00 - were either closed Sunday or wouldn't take any more customers. They promptly signed me up. There was no wait time. Great hair cut, no rush, with attention to details, nice and professionally done. For the first visit upgraded to MVP service. Really great experience."

"He had a coupon for $4 off or free first time haircut. Since he had been to a different sport clips I figured we would use the $4 off the precision haircut as I didn't think the first time thing applied. She apparently saw my easy going husband coming as she gave him a free upgrade instead of the coupon. Then gave him a scalp treatment that was an extra $3 but she did not mention to him it was going to cost anything extra..again, must have seen him coming. Went in for a $19 haircut - $4 coupon.. what should have been 15 wound up costing 22 before tip. Ugh! I have to say my son had a hair cut there a few weeks before (different lady) was very nice and helpful regarding coupon and didn't try to take us for as much as possible."

"If you get a haircut at sport clips absolutely positively do not ask for Anna because she screwed up my hair and I asked for one thing and she did the total opposite. She didn't even ask if I wanted my sideburns and she assumed that I did want my side burns and she made them Inverness too! But otherwise I get my haircut there and it turns out great except for today when Anna cut my hair."

"Took my son here to get his hair cut into a style. The first time the lady did an amazing job. (should have gotten her name) and ever since then the cut just got worse and worse. had a different stylist every time. This last time was the absolute worst. It was so choppy it looked like a 5 year old did it. She was rushing because the place was busy and need to get to the next customer. that's what's bad about places that just do walk ins. Would really have preferred to keep the same girl. If it's slow I would recommend. Because then they take their time."

"Not sure what Sportclips is up to but for a walk in haircut place to place people on a waiting list for 3 hours is ridiculous. You don't get to talk to a person until the stylist comes to take you back. No way to check in before you get there. Saw many people walk in and walk out. Worse thing was the time was only an estimate so we had to go back a couple of times before we were up. This new system is not customer friendly and we will go somewhere else in the future."
